  • The Mill Creek Farm is a collectively run urban education farm that utilizes vacant land to improve local access to nutritious foods and to promote sustainable resource use by growing and distributing produce and by demonstrating ecological methods of living. The farm is located in West Philadelphia. For 15 years, part of the site has been a community garden and for over 30 years the rest has been a vacant lot. Thanks to funds from the Philadelphia Water Department in partnership with the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society, the land was awarded in 2005 to begin an urban farm.
